Wells Fargo is hiring a Managing Director for U.S. Banks Corporate Banking in San Francisco, CA. The role involves leading a specialized team, managing relationships with large-cap banks, and overseeing the U.S. Banks business. About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Managing Director (Corporate Banking Relationship Management Director) as part of the Financial Institutions Corporate & Investment Banking to lead the U.S. Banks Corporate Banking team focused on coverage of Bank clients in the United States. This individual will manage and develop a specialized team of managers and individual contributors covering the entire US/Domestic market for the Global Banks vertical and will be responsible for the management of the U.S. Banks business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building, maintaining, and growing profitable relationships with a select group of US Large Cap Banks ($150Bn+ in assets) who are Corporate Banking clients.
The Banks Corporate Banking business is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a broad range of Banks clients and delivering the full platform of Wells Fargo's capabilities including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, M&A related Acquisition Finance, Treasury Management, Macro solutions, Global Receivables & Trade and Credit. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to develop internal and external relationships and have relevant corporate banking experience. Financial Institution/Banks sector experience is a requirement.
In this role, you will:
• Manage and develop a specialized team of managers and individual contributors with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity and risk product and service for cross functional stakeholders, internal partners associated with the Corporate Banking function or affected by its outcomes
• Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
• Develop annual business plans and direct the group in implementation of these plans
• Lead Corporate Banking functional area team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
• Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
• Manage risks in the business
• Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including leadership
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Corporate Banking Relationship Management
• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Job Expectations:
• Financial Institution/Banks sector experience is a requirement
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
• Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
• Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
• For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
